Golf can be a harsh game as I’ve found out over the last couple of tournaments.
Two bad holes wrecked what could have been a very good fortnight. I had a 9 in Switzerland after I smacked a ball out of bounds and dropped right down the field when was in the top ten.
Then I missed the cut in Holland by a shot when I threw in a 7 after getting behind a tree, didn’t manage to get out with my first shot, and I three-putted.
It’s frustrating but I know I’m playing well so I won’t beat myself up about it.
Next up is a charity event at Archerfields in Scotland which is organised by our new Open champion Darren Clarke and cricket legend Ian Botham.
After that is The Dunhill and I have high hopes of success having finished runner-up last year. The target is to go one better this time.
Danny turned professional in 2008 after an outstanding amateur career. He finished 58th in his debut season and 23rd in 2010. Visit the Gallery to see Danny in action.
