Danny turned professional in 2008 after an outstanding amateur career which included numerous victories on both sides of the Atlantic, International honours for England, a Walker Cup appearance and the stature of being ranked the number 1 amateur in the world.
After successfully negotiating the European Tour Qualifying School on his first attempt, Danny’s debut season saw him finish 58th on the 2009 Race to Dubai thanks to 8 top ten finishes.
Danny built on his previous years success in 2010 by finishing 23rd on the Race to Dubai. Highlights included 5th place at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth and a 2nd place finish in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. With a 3rd place in the Austrian Open and another 4 top 10 finishes Danny went on to win over €1 000 000 in prize money.
